The American Lung Association of the City of New York is proud to partner with the New York City Asthma Partnership (NYCAP) to present the Asthma Friendly School Award.
The goal of the Asthma Friendly Schools Award (AFSA) is to encourage New York City schools to create and maintain safe and supportive environments for students and staff with asthma. Through this award program, we hope to encourage schools to coordinate and ensure the safe delivery of health services, remediate environmental triggers in the school environment, and conduct educational activities on asthma and related topics.
