American Lung Association meets BBB Wise Giving Alliance Standards

About Us

OUR VISION: A world free of lung disease.

OUR MISSION: To prevent lung disease and promote lung health.

For more than 100 years, the American Lung Association has served the City of New York as the premier community resource on all areas of pulmonary health. The mission of the American Lung Association of the City of New York – to prevent lung disease and promote lung health – is realized through a broad variety of community education programs, research projects and advocacy initiatives. These programs, made possible by the support and leadership of the community, are specifically designed to meet the unique and diverse needs of the residents throughout the five boroughs of New York City.  Today, the American Lung Association of the City of New York is leading the fight against asthma, air pollution and tobacco-related diseases, and Improving Life, One Breath at a Time.
